Tower Site and Infrastructure

A repeater site is a full infrastructure system: support structure, antennas, feedline, grounding, rack equipment, power, network, physical access, and written records.

How it works

Learning notes

Good documentation reduces downtime. Site records, photos, equipment serial numbers, service dates, and change logs should be kept accurate and controlled by authorized club leadership.

Part 97 station responsibility makes control, reliability, and proper documentation more than good housekeeping; they are part of responsible station operation.

Photograph before changes: Before/after photos are often the fastest way to preserve site knowledge.
