CBRA is for licensed operators, new hams, students, families, electronics and computer people, emergency communications volunteers, and anyone who wants to learn practical radio skills.
More than a name on a roster
The goal is to make membership useful: learning help, local operating support, technical projects, volunteer opportunities, documents, events, and practical ways to participate.
Learn faster
Get help with licensing, radio programming, repeaters, antennas, digital modes, and first-station decisions.

Understand and support the WA3SFJ repeater system, nets, linked access, and local communications resources.

Participate in workshops, Field Day, portable operating, technical projects, and maintenance/documentation efforts.

You do not need to know everything first
Experienced operators are welcome, but CBRA should also be approachable for people who are just getting started. A good club helps visitors become students, students become licensed operators, and operators become mentors and volunteers.
If you are interested in radio, electronics, computers, networking, preparedness, public service, or hands-on technical learning, there is a path for you.

Membership options
Applications are handled through the website and reviewed before member access is approved. Dues, eligibility, and membership categories should match current approved club policy.
Full Member
$35 per year. For FCC-licensed amateur radio operators in good standing who want to participate fully in club meetings, activities, facilities, and member resources.
Family Membership
$20 per year, minimum 2. Helps households participate together in meetings, learning, events, and club activities.
Youth / New Operators
For younger operators and people working toward a license who want to learn with CBRA and build practical skills.
Associate / Supporter
For interested people who are not yet licensed but want to support the mission and work toward active participation.

How registration works
Licensed and non-licensed applicants may apply. Callsigns help us verify licensed amateur operators, but people who are new, studying, family members, youth applicants, or supporters can also apply.
